Crazy ribbon lady...

Soooo I've had the day off today and that gave me a little time to play in my craft room!
First of all I tidied up! Then I finished my last Christmas card off for miss Alison, then I sorted out the pile of stamps I had into cd cases, put away the stack of papers I hadn't sorted designed my mums 50th birthday invitations and then finalllllllly got to ribbon!!
So without further ado... The stupid amount of ribbon I bought on eBay stupid cheap has almost all arrived...

Baby boy!

Well I've finished it! Here is my baby boy card for my godson James & his yummy mummy Lisa! Can't wait to see them on Monday! :D

Ow mi gawsh! Friday afternoon already?!?!?!

I've had the day off but it's been such a mad busy week! Went to see rihanna on tuesday, listening to a bit of rihanna right now as I'm trying to make a baby boy card for my godson! Having a bit of a break as my hands are FROZZIN so I'm struggling a bit, my colouring is shocking! At least it's (hopefully!) not going to be a card that's all about the image! Hopefully it'll be finished later & I'll share it :)

But there was a new challenge yesterday over at http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/ and this week its SPOTS!!! Love this challenge, the hardest part for me was choosing which card to submit for the DT as I'm quite often going dotty!! Well I think I chose a good un and went for a tricky one, a mans card! I love this TGF image, I don't have this stamp & no idea where I got this image from, but I want moreeeeee! :)

Well I better get back to my baby boy card... Wish me luck! ;)

Busy weekend!!!!

Welllllll yesterday my gorgeously stunning godson james was born! I am so freaking excited to meet him, unfortunately he lives many miles away so I have to wait untill next Sunday :(

I've been at a fantastic wedding all day! Last night was chaos as i had to run around picking up my dress, the shoes i planned to borrow didnt fit, i lost my sixpence and all sorts!!
I arrived early this morning to tie the guys cravats for them and drop off the lucky silver sixpence to my lovely friend Claire (the bride!) and more chaos!! Half an hour before the wedding the maid of honours invisible zip broke! And jammed!! OMG!!! But luckilllllly as I was leaving the house I had popped back upstairs to grab a needle & cotton (must be psychic!) so I grabbed it out the car and actually stitched her into her dress!!! And as I left she was dancing away, still stitched in! :)
It was an amazing day tho, dry weather, gorgeous dresses, yummy food, epic cake, elvis impersonator!! everything was stunning and being the crafty thing I am I had helped with the decorations (of course!) I was even thanked in 2 of the speeches! (blushes!!) I'm shattered now & off to bed so I'll blog pics of that another day properly on the computer instead of my phone but for now here's the happy couple!

A day off!! Oh, and then an 11 hour shift :(

Well it appears that my last blog attempt saved instead of published! Oh well, it's all irrelevant now anyway! ;)

I had a fab day off yesterday, I made my husbands birthday card, my friend Claire's wedding card (for Saturday, soooo excited!!!!) AND a Christmas card!
Alison came over and we crafted like crazy! Well, she punched about a million snowflakes and coloured, cut and glittered a whole army of Xmas sweetie anyas!

And then today is Thursday so that ment I had a sucky pants rubbish 9-8 day at work, and after coming out of sale 10 days ago, it's time to guess what launch sale again!! Christmas sale! Seriously?!?! Blah! Glad to be home! Catching up on xfactor USA & off to bed v soon!! Zzzzzzzz!!

Buuuuuuut as its Thursday that also means a new challenge at charisma!! And this week it's snowflakes!!! I <3 snowflakes!! I love snow and snowmen too tho! Almost all of the Xmas cards I've made have snowflakes or snowmen, and the one I made last night was no exception! I love TGFs & the snow, rain, shine anyas are no exception! So snow anya it was! Lol It was too late for the DT (and completely unplanned as its team gems week, and i didnt think ild have time to squeeze in a creation as I've too much to make specifically for people!) buuuut when snowflake mojo hits, you gotta go with it!! Just a quick blog as I can't sleep!

I've bought 310 yards of ribbon on eBay tonight!! :o

shocking!!

I can't even sleep because I'm so excited! I just need to order some more ribbon tags as I have a very pathetic ONE empty tag left!! Not acceptable!! Heehee!

I'm using loads of ribbon at the moment in my card making/scrapbooking tho so at least it's a justified purchase, almost! ;)

70s love!!

So tonight I've been to see trextasy! Oh how I wish I could have been late teens/early 20s in the early-mid 70s!! I'm jealous of my parents!!
My dad today announced that he is buying tickets for us all to go and see Steve harley & cockney rebel Christmas week so I'm very excited about that!!! Weve seen him twice before (my dad & myself) but it will be the first time my husband will have been, his interest in the glam comes from me im afraid so after seeing him enjoy the trex tribute, im interested to see how much he enjoys the real thing with steve harley! Come up and see me make me smileeeeeee!!! Haha! (I much prefer other tracks, but that's still a corker live!!!) best get my steeple tone out and snap crackle and pop with my vinyl in the run up! Rhianna first tho! ;) I'm so spoilt!! Haha!!

So after seeing (and being slightly disappointed with) britney last week, the only icon I can think that I would give my left leg to see is... Bowie

Lonnnnng day!!

Well I've had a busy one, saw my mom & dad and an 1 1/2 hour FaceTime chat with Carly a bit of crafting, a bit of csi Miami, a mcflurry and peeking at this weeks entires over at charisma!! Phew! Almost time for beddiebyes but thought ild do a quick post first!

Were also heading to a fireworks display in Sunday so hopefully the weather holds!

Katy Perry & Mermaids!!

Sooooooo last night was Katy perry day!!! Fantastic gig!! Alison & I dressed up as Katy Perry as you can see we looked like we had fun at least!! Lol that woman behind us looks terrified!! Haha!!!

anyways as today is Thursday its time for a new challenge over at http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/ it's anything goes this week, and I've used this fab saturated canary mermaid digi with some papers & shells I brought back from the states on my honeymoon! Busy cat!

Oooh I've been a bad busy cat! I've had so much going on and it's gonna be a busy few weeks yet before I get a break, maybe, with working in retail and my holiday after christmas all I'll be busy straight through to mid feb!!

I've actually had the weekend off work (madness in retail!!) and went up to stoke for a lovely suprise family meal for my father in laws retirement on Saturday. Sunday was spent walking my dads dogs in the fresh autumn air and a nice 2 for 1 pub lunch :)

As I said busy busy as tomorrow im off to see Katy perry and britney spears on Sunday! I'm defiantly indulging my inner pop tart this week! ;) and then there's rhianna in nov!

Right now I'm off to charisma to check out this weeks entries for the embossing challenge 1 day left!!

Better go and peek before my husband gets home from work and moans I've not tidied up! Oops!

Random days!

Well just a quick note, I've spent the afternoon in Carly's craft room but no crafting! Shes been working on a card but im playing with The cats! I'm completely uninspired! I spent all weekend sorting & tidying & reorganising my craft room and I've got everything where I want it but now I'm not wanting to mess it up!! Typical!
Shes wittering on trying to convince me about smash* books but im not buying it!!! Lol

Stitches!!

This weeks challenge over at charisma is stitches!! I don't have a sewing machine so I've gone for faux stitches, I got very impatient doing it tho! Lol!
I decided to kind of ghost colour this image, I wanted it to be a bit more subtle and try a different approach, I'm quite pleased with it actually!
I even used brown (not like me!) AND 2 papers!! What's wrong with me! I've only recently started layering papers for some reason I find it difficult, but it's getting easier! It's more the layout I struggle with rather than matching them, I haaaaate wonkyness!! Lol jaunty angles just don't really work for me, I'm forever straightening them! But that's something else altogether, 2 papers and brown is far enough out of my comfort zone for now ;) lol

Well I'm using my phone at work again, bad cat!! I'm so freaking bored tho!! And there's loads to be doing :( best get on with it 'spose... *sigh*

Cornwall times!

Woo! It's my long weekend that starts on a Sunday! Lol I'm lazing in bed in Cornwall land deciding what kind of pasty I should have for lunch! Nomnom! :D
We've trekked all the way down here to visit my in-laws and our not quite born yet godson & his yummy mummy!
However driving down here last night means we missed x-factor, and having to (don't want to!) go for a drink tonight means well miss it again!! And we didn't see thurs/fris xfactor USA (dale loves it! Lol) so were well behind!!

But so I don't get too behind in my crafty I bought my promarkers & loads of stamped images! Heehee!

I better get up and in the shower because the sooner I do that the sooner I get a pasty, and I'm allowed to go to the range today :) woooo!!!

Its My dads birthday!!

Woo! Happy birthday daddy!! Not that he will ever see this, or even knows what a blog is! Lol I thought ild share his card, a very scary 8x8! He likes frogs and I love this sentiment! Always makes me chuckle!

I've had a lovely day nattering weddings with my friend Claire, who only has a few weeks until her wedding! Excitement!!

And then my dad and I exchanged gifts as he bought me a fab handcrafted wooden cat back from Bermuda! Batman wasn't sure on it tho, he had a good ol' sniff, Then ran off! Heehee!

I'm (fingers crossed!) dragging My poor husband to ikea now... Well I do need another unit and some more boxes for my 6x6 papers!!

My second post!!

Okay so maybe I was naughty and didn't post over the weekend, but that's because I was busy at work sat, went to help out a friend sat night, work Sunday then I had 2 nights worth of xfactor to watch!!

Last night my friend Alison popped over, we coloured in, played with ribbon and papers but didn't actually complete and cards to show off, but I'm working on a design for Charisma Cards Challenge blog that is a little bit out there!! Can't wait to finish it tonight!!

The other reason we didn't get anything finished was because we made some sweets!! Yummy green hard boiled sweets! They are so nice, and I'm gonna perfect the process and that's my Christmas gifts for the family this year sorted! May even have a go at candy canes, it's really not as difficult or complicated as I thought! Happy days!

Anyhoos I am at work, hiding behind the till with my iPhone, hopefully this post will work!! I'm off to tidy up a bit before lunch... Nomnom

My First Post

As i am as good at waffling as those lucky potatoes that birdseye get hold of, i guess its time for my first blog post...

It seems a little odd, but im assured ill get used to it! Im not sure if anyone will even read this, or even want to read more but hey!

Okay, so, well, i am Emma, AKA Mrs P, Crazy cat lady of my street, crazy ribbon lady (as my blog suggests!) and mommy (to my kitties - more on them in a bit!)

I got married in March, had an absolutely fabulous mad quirky wedding :) Im just beginning to organise myself to scrapbook my wedding so ill have little show off moments as i do that i think :)

I have a whole double 'bedroom' in my house that is dedicated to craft, including a wall full of ribbon! I like everything to be sorted into colour and am sometimes just as happy sorting as i am crafting! I like to sell my cards as and when i can but i dont make them for profit as such, i just like to buy more bits and pieces on ebay and will continue untill my craftroom is completely full... mwahahaha

Luckily my husband is very supportive :) Hea bit of an apple geek so he gets one expensive thing to every million ribbons/charms/brads/buttons/papers i get, just to keep it fair ;)

My kitties love my craft room too, Oreo has her own chair she likes to sit on and if someone or something is on it, she will just climb ontop and go to sleep there anyway!

Batman has his own piece of ribbon which is tied to the arm of 'my' chair which is the only piece of ribbon he knows hes allowed to play with. Even though my ribbons run all the way down the wall and a few drag on the floor ive never caught him playing with any of my ribbon! Hes such a good cat! Im sure youll hear lots about my cats... they really are my babies and have such character!!

Well that, i think, is my first post done, ill be back before the weekend with (hopefully!) a photo post!
